Bluefield R500 Houseboat
The R500 houseboat structure — a single welded frame, so a complete home on the water could be craned into place in one lift.
The Bluefield R500 is a house on the water — and its structure is a single welded steel frame. Designing it as one piece meant the complete frame could be fabricated in the workshop, craned into position and installed in one lift.
The same simplicity ran through the whole job: a clean structural concept that modelled quickly, fabricated efficiently and installed without drama.
Outcome
A one-piece frame that craned straight into place — the simplicity of the design made both the modelling and the installation fast.
