Why scan an existing building
Older buildings rarely match their drawings — walls move, levels drift, nothing is quite square. A laser scan records the building exactly as it stands today, to ±2mm, so design happens against reality rather than optimistic record drawings. Registered in Trimble RealWorks, the cloud can be measured, sectioned and modelled.
From capture to design
The scan becomes the base for accurate drawings or a BIM model, and the same data carries through to setting-out and verification — capture once, use through the whole project.
